THE CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Dec 21, 2025    Bishop Vernon Thomas

This powerful message reminds us that spiritual warfare is real, and if the enemy isn't bothering us, we might need to examine which side we're truly on. Drawing from the story of Daniel in the lion's den, we're confronted with a profound truth: elevation often comes with opposition. Daniel's faithfulness to pray three times daily, despite a decree that could cost him his life, demonstrates that our commitment to God shouldn't waver based on circumstances or the opinions of others. The jealousy that put Daniel in danger wasn't from strangers—it was from those who rode alongside him until God elevated him above them. This teaches us that not everyone celebrating with us today will celebrate our promotion tomorrow. Yet Daniel's deliverance shows us that the same God who allows us to enter difficult situations is faithful to bring us out. When we emerge from our fiery trials, we won't even smell like smoke. The key is maintaining our prayer life, our praise, and our integrity regardless of who's watching or plotting against us. God inhabits our praise, and when we refuse to compromise our worship, He dispatches angels to lock the mouths of whatever lions are waiting to devour us.
