SOMETHING GOOD WILL COME OUT OF THIS

May 10, 2026    Bishop Manuell Smith, IV

This powerful message takes us deep into the story of Moses' birth in Exodus chapters 1 and 2, revealing how God births purpose even in the most hostile environments. We're reminded that the pressure we face today—whether political, social, or personal—mirrors the oppression Israel experienced under Pharaoh's regime. Just as Pharaoh tried to eliminate Hebrew baby boys because he feared their potential, systems today still attempt to suppress what God is raising up. The beauty of this narrative is found in the paradox: the more Israel was oppressed, the more they multiplied. This teaches us that pressure doesn't produce extinction—it promotes expansion. The message honors the mothers and women who have carried the weight of protecting their children while navigating uncertain times, building 'baskets of prayer, wisdom, and sacrifice' to keep their families afloat. We're challenged to recognize that when God has placed purpose on our lives, no amount of pressure can stop it. The very thing the enemy tries to destroy often becomes the very thing God uses to deliver His people. Moses floating in that basket represents every promise God has protected through impossible circumstances. We're encouraged to take our hands off what God has already fixed and trust that something good is still coming out of our current struggles.
