THE RUMORS ARE TRUE
What if the very rumors people spread about us were actually the starting point of something greater? This message takes us deep into the story of Saul in Acts 9, a man whose reputation as a persecutor of the church was so well established that even God's own people hesitated to help him when he changed. We are invited to sit with an uncomfortable truth: the rumors about who we were may be entirely accurate, and yet that is precisely where God chooses to begin his work.
The message does not ask us to deny our past or minimize the harm we may have caused. Instead, it challenges us to see that God's willingness to redeem a man like Saul, someone who held legal authority to imprison and harm believers, means that none of us are beyond the reach of transformation. The spiritual lesson here is both sobering and liberating. If we can believe the worst of what was said about someone, we are called to also believe the testimony of what God is doing in them now.
