IT’S TIME FOR THE GIANTS IN MY LIFE TO FALL
What does it look like to walk into a battle that everyone else has run from? In 1 Samuel 17, we find a young David standing before a giant warrior named Goliath while an entire army of seasoned soldiers cowered in fear.
This sermon takes us deep into that moment and asks us a pointed question: what giants are standing in our way right now? Whether it is fear, depression, unbelief, or circumstances that seem immovable, the story of David and Goliath is not just ancient history. It is a mirror held up to our own lives. David did not defeat Goliath because he was the strongest person on the field. He won because he understood who he was fighting for and who was fighting with him.
We are reminded that the same God who delivered David from a lion and a bear did not abandon him when the stakes got higher. That progression matters. The smaller battles we have already survived are the very testimony that prepares us for the giant standing in front of us today. If we learn to look back at what God has already done, we will find the courage to look forward at what He is about to do.
