DON’T WORRY ABOUT THEM, KEEP YOUR EYES ON HIM

This powerful message challenges us to examine the authenticity of our worship and service to God. Drawing from Luke 7 and Mark 14, we encounter the story of Mary, a woman with a broken past who brought an alabaster box of precious ointment worth a year's wages to anoint Jesus. While religious leaders criticized her extravagant act of worship, Jesus defended her, declaring that her many sins were forgiven because she loved much. The central lesson confronts us with a penetrating question: Are we worshiping God for who He is, or are we performing for the approval of others? The message exposes how we often let the opinions and judgments of those around us dictate our relationship with God. Mary didn't speak a word—her tears, her broken heart, and her sacrificial gift spoke louder than any testimony. She came uninvited into a Pharisee's house, risking public shame, because her need for Jesus outweighed her fear of judgment. This challenges us to stop worrying about 'them'—the critics, the hypocrites, the ones who talk about us—and focus solely on our personal relationship with Christ. Our worship should be so authentic that even when others don't understand our praise, we continue because we know our story, our pain, and what God has brought us through. The message calls us to bring our brokenness to Jesus without pretense, remembering that He sees our hearts even when we can't find the words.
